Getting Your Bathroom Ready for the Holidays

Getting Your Bathroom Ready for the Holidays

November 30, 2018 | Bathroom Accessories

The holidays are finally here, and you know what that means? It’s time to get your home ready for company! While you’ll probably spend time decking the halls and making your space jolly for the season, there is one important aspect that you should not forget about, your bathroom! Here are some of our best tips to get your bathroom ready for holiday parties:

Scrub-A-Dub-Dub

There is nothing more embarrassing than a dirty house when you have company. So before you begin decorating and preparing your bathroom to entertain, make sure that you give it a good old fashioned deep-clean. Make sure to scrub places that you wouldn’t normally think about such as the back of the toilet, around the tub, and all the nooks and crannies that don’t always get thoroughly cleaned.

Find a Holiday Scent

There’s nothing like a familiar smell to remind people just what they love about the holidays. Pick an air freshener or candle to set the mood of your space. You have so many holiday scents to choose from. A gingerbread or sugar cookie scented candle or a peppermint air spray can go a long way and can make your space feel homey and inviting.

Break Out The Decorative Soaps

The holidays are the time to go all out when it comes to decorating your space. Part of this means swapping out your boring hand soap for beautiful, decorative soap that will make your guests feel extra special. Think “festive” when it comes to this step of decorating; find a soap in a fun holiday shape or with a gorgeous holiday smell.

Swap Your Linens

One quick and easy way to totally transform your bathroom is to switch out your regular hand towels for ones that are more seasonal. This can be towels that fall into a theme that feature things like angels, snowmen, Christmas trees etc. If you are looking for a more subtle approach, choose linens that simply fall into the Christmas color scheme- green, red, silver, and gold.

Stock Up

Another thing to consider during the holidays is that you are likely to have friends and family members staying with you at some point. It is important to take this into consideration when preparing your home, but especially when preparing your bathroom. Remember to have extra bath towels on hand that are fresh and clean just for your guests. It is also a good idea to stock up on supplies that they may have forgotten: disposable razors, travel sized toiletries, etc. The more prepared you are to entertain, the better off you will be for the holiday season.

Change Out Your Shower Curtain

If you are really looking to bring new life to your space, change out your shower curtain for one that is holiday themed. You can find all sorts of seasonal holiday-themed shower curtains online or at your local bath and bedding store. This simple flare of decoration will make your guests smile and will give your space a fun, light-hearted feel.

Add Some Lotion

With the cold weather around the holidays, most everyone is suffering from rough, cracked or dry skin, especially on their hands. To accommodate this, buy some soothing holiday lotion. This will help your guests keep their skin soft and smooth and will make them feel right at home. In

Clean Out the Cabinets

You want your guests to feel right at home, and part of that is being able to find exactly what they need. This is a great time to organize your cabinet and drawers. Make sure anything your guests could possibly want or need like extra soap or toilet paper are easy to find. Taking this simple step to make your home extra guest-friendly will go a long way.
